Inter are the club most interested in signing Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali as revealed by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio during his ‘Calciomercato – L’Originale’ show late last night.

Inter have identified the newly turned 20-year-old sensation as a player capable of making the leap into Antonio Conte’s team but they face competition from their arch rivals Juventus for his signature.

According to the report, the Nerazzurri have prioritized signing Tonali over signing Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa whose price tag is too high for the Nerazzurri as things stand.

Tonali wont come cheap either, as he is widely regarded as one of the best Italian prospects out there at the moment and reports elsewhere in the media have suggested that Brescia president and owner Massimo Cellino is demanding no less than €50 million for the player. Tonali’s contract expires at the end of June 2021 but there is an option to extend it by a further season.

The Italian international has very much impressed in his first season in Serie A despite the fact Brescia are rooted to the bottom of the table.

This season he has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and tallied five assists.
