Inter are interested in signing Greek full back Georgios Vagiannidis but are not planning to integrate him into the first team, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews yesterday.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are keen to sign the 18-year-old Greek right back, who is contracted to Panathinaikos until the end of the season. The club have approached his entourage to discuss a summer move, but a deal hasn’t been completed yet and negotiations are still in progress.

Furthermore, he wouldn’t be integrated into the first team, the report continues. Inter would like to sign him to either send him out on loan or put him into the Under-19 squad. The player hasn’t had too much first team experience yet and wouldn’t be ready for a quick move to a Serie A squad.

Vagiannidis has made 17 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring five goals and providing one assist in that time.
