Inter are not interested in signing Junior Firpo, who Barcelona have been trying to include in the deal for Lautaro Martinez, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Blaugrana cannot afford to pay Lautaro’s €111 million release clause, and so have been working hard to try and include players in the deal for the 22-year-old Argentine striker.

One of these players was 23-year-old Spanish full back Junior Firpo. Inter would prefer a more experienced player like Nelson Semedo or an emerging talent like Emerson Royal.

It is still likely that Junior Firpo will leave Barcelona in the summer, the report continues, as the club are already in talks with Inter’s rivals Juventus.

The Bianconeri have been discussing a swap deal of Miralem Pjanic and Arthur, which could also involve other players like Daniele Rugani or Junior Firpo. Roma are also keen on the 23-year-old Spanish full back.
