There is still no agreement between Inter and Barcelona regarding Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez and the Catalan club are unable to pay his €111 million release clause, instead hoping to offer them Nelson Semedo to help reach a deal, according to a report from in Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The report details how the Blaugrana are incredibly keen to sign the 22-year-old Argentine forward, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023. They believe that he would be the perfect replacement for the aging Luis Suarez, and his compatriot Lionel Messi is excited at the prospect of linking up with Lautaro.

Barcelona cannot afford to pay Inter’s €111 million release clause, the report continues, and so have offered to include Nelson Semedo in the deal.

The Portuguese player, however, has indicated that Inter is not at the top of his list and would prefer to play for Premier League side Manchester City or the Nerazzurri’s bitter rivals Juventus in the future.
