Alessandro Bastoni has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to reminisce about coming up against Inter teammate Lautaro Martinez whilst he was out on loan at Parma during last season.

The highly rated 21-year-old defender has had his first team breakthrough at Inter this term with him having made 17 appearances across all competitions to date.

The former Atalanta player has impressed this season and he even kept the vastly more experienced Diego Godin out of the team in the weeks prior to the football season being put on hold due to the Coronavirus crisis.

Inter are understood to have extremely high hopes for Bastoni, who could well form part of the club’s defensive line for a long time to come.

He took to Instagram Stories and posted: “When you are a defender and you think about how to stop Lautaro, who goes by you with his first touch, but then you remember that this year you have him on your team.”

This season Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
