Former Inter president and owner Massimo Moratti has spoken on a number of Inter related topics and firstly spoke on Inter manager Antonio Conte.

“He has soul and is good. Is he similar to Jose Mourinho? They are two very serious professionals and they work with great intensity,” Moratti began an interview with Italian radio station Gr Parlamento earlier on today.

Next Moratti went on to speak about current Inter president Steven Zhang, who is the youngest president in Inter’s 112 year history.

“He is a sensitive and intelligent boy who has approached this role with great seriousness and a strong sense of duty.”

He was then asked whether he misses being involved in football and revealed there has been chances for him to get back into football.

“Do I miss football? I miss the adrenaline that is in football constantly and I very much miss speaking with people. There have been other opportunities for me to come back into football but I wouldn’t like it.”

Moratti then went on to reminisce about Inter’s historic 2009/10 treble winning season.

“It was the best thing ever to bring the Champions League back to Milan. The beauty of that team was the beautiful complicity and the great mutual relationships.”

He then went on to discuss the transfer market and began by speaking about Lautaro Martinez, who continues to be linked with a move to Barcelona, and Sandro Tonali, who is being linked to Inter.

“It will all depend on him, I read that Barcelona are making exorbitant offers for him which will be difficult to say no to. Sandro Tonali is good but Inter already have Stefano Sensi.”

Next he spoke briefly on Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Braut Haaland and whether he would be a good buy for Inter: “What he does makes you want to sign him but Inter already have Romelu Lukaku.”

He also briefly spoke on failing to sign Cristiano Ronaldo: “Suarez advised me to sign him but he was too expensive.”

He then recalled when he suggested to former Inter president Erick Thohir to sign Paulo Dybala: “He is a player that I like very much, he has everything.”

He concluded by speaking on Lionel Messi: “He is everyone’s dream. He still remains the best in the world but he will not move from Barcelona.”
