Maximiliano Gallo, the agent of Banfield starlet Agustin Urzi, has confirmed that several clubs have been in touch with him regarding his client.

“Various people from clubs in Europe have enquired but I do not want to reveal who they work for, it would not seem right to me to do so. I think it is normal that such an interesting player is being followed,” Gallo began an interview with Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

He proceeded to discuss what kind of player Urzi is and made a comparison between Urzi and a current Argentine national team player.

“Agustín is fast and technical and I would say that he is similar to Angel Di Maria.”

Gallo then went on to share his belief that his client is indeed ready to make the leap from South American football to European football and also discussed his client’s release clause.

“I would say yes. He has done very well at Banfield and in any case he is the type of player who could do very well following a period of adaption, even in Europe. His release clause has risen from €20 million to €30 million.”

Gallo concluded the interview by discussing Inter’s interest in signing the 20-year-old winger, who is part of Argentina’s under 23 national team.

“I have been told that Zanetti has enquired about him. Does it make him happy? Of course, any interest from a global giant such as Inter can only make us proud.”

Urzi, who is under contract with the Superliga Argentina club until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made a total of 19 appearances across all competitions to date this term. In just shy of 1500 minutes on the park, Urzi has provided a single assist for his teammates.
