Inter’s management are waiting to see what will happen with Lautaro Martinez before making any moves for any strikers, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia aired earlier this afternoon.

The highly rated 22-year-old has been linked with Barcelona several times in recent days, weeks and months and with a potential departure on the cards Inter management are in the process of searching for potential replacements.

According to the report, Inter are thinking about RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner as a potential replacement for him whilst Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani is also an intriguing option.

The report goes on to add that Lautaro could well end up staying with the club and in this case Alexis Sanchez could also stay even if, for the time being, a return to Manchester United is more likely for the Chilean international.

Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored 16 goals and tallied four assists.
