Due to how difficult it could be to sign either Paris Saint Germain’s Edinson Cavani or RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner this Summer, there is a possibility that Alexis Sanchez could remain with Inter past the end of this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Sanchez is currently out on loan at Inter from Manchester United and should he perform well if/when the Serie A season resumes Inter could pursue a permanent deal for him.

The Chilean national team attacker currently earns €12 million a season from the Premier League club and Inter have paid €5 million of it during his loan spell with the club, which has been largely forgettable and filled with below par performances.

Whilst in Milan, the former Arsenal and Barcelona player has made 15 appearances across all competitions to date. In just shy of 600 minutes on the pitch, Sanchez has scored a single goal and has also provided three assists.
