There are a number of clubs ready to come forward and compete with Inter for Panathinaikos youngster Georgios Vagiannidis according to a report from the online edition of Greek news outlet SportDog.gr.

Inter are in advanced negotiations to bring the highly rated young defender to the club but at least three other clubs, Manchester City, Sevilla and an unnamed club, have gotten into contact with Vagiannidis regarding a possible move to their club.

Although negotiations are at an advanced stage with Inter, the negotiations are by no means done and the door has not been closed on anyone as of yet.

Inter and interested clubs will not need to negotiate with Panathinaikos to land Vagiannidis and will only have to pay a FIFA determined compensation amount of €400,000.

Vagiannidis has made his first team debut for the Greek Super League side this term but has almost exclusively played for their under 19 side.

All in all he has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and provided a single assist.
