Legendary Italian football manager Fabio Capello has sang the praises of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez and also offered the Argentine national team player some advice.

The highly rated 22-year-old has found himself linked with a potential Summer transfer window switch to La Liga giants Barcelona pretty much everyday for a few months now.

Barcelona wish to acquire him in a player or players plus cash and Inter have told Barcelona they must pay at least €90 million if they wish to go down that route or pay his €111 million release clause.

A number of reports in the media have suggested that Lautaro has also accepted a bumper contract offer from the Blaugrana club worth €10 million a year.

“Lautaro is an excellent player. He is a player who knows how to move well in the area and is very quick to shoot at goal. He has a lot of quality,” Capello remarked during an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena Ser earlier on today.

“Although I think for him to get to Barcelona and be a starter whilst Luis Suarez is there could be complicated and I think it is better to be a starter at Inter than a reserve for Barcelona.”

This season Lautaro, who has a contract with Inter through to the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
