Bayern Munich have asked Inter for Ivan Perisic’s loan deal to be extended by a further season according to a report from the online edition of German news outlet BILD.

Perisic joined the reigning Bundesliga champions on a season long loan this past Summer and as part of the deal the Bavaria based club have an option to buy him for a sum of €20 million.

Bayern Munich appeared as good as certain to take up that option prior to the Coronavirus crisis beginning but may end up just loaning him for another season instead but they are awaiting a response from Inter, who reportedly do not want Perisic to return to the club at all.

Whilst out on loan at the Allianz Arena side, Perisic, who still has a contract with Inter until the end of the June 2022, has made 23 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and tallied eight assists.
