There is a stalemate in negotiations between Inter and Barcelona over Lautaro Martinez according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Although Lautaro has provisionally agreed to a €10 million a year deal with the Blaugrana club, the two clubs are still some way apart in negotiations.

Inter continue to demand that his €111 million release clause is paid or they are paid €90 million plus one or two players who Inter manager Antonio Conte likes. Barcelona however do not wish to give in to Inter’s demands and as a result Inter are currently calm.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to explain that for the time being Junior Firpo and Nelson Semedo are the two favourite names to be included in any potential deal for Lautaro.

Inter are also interested in acquiring Arturo Vidal but do not wish to acquire him in a deal for Lautaro and want to instead do a separate deal for him.
