Inter and Torino could perform a swap deal involving Roberto Gagliardini and Armando Izzo in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

New Torino director Davide Vagnati wants to rebuild the Granata’s midfield over the course of the coming months and former Atalanta player Gagliardini is one of a number of transfer targets for him.

Gagliardini joined Inter on an initial six month loan deal in January 2017 and was then purchased outright at the end of the deal.

The Italian made a promising start to life at Inter but has found himself in and out of the team under present manager Antonio Conte and would slide further down the pecking order if he is to remain with Inter targeting midfield reinforcements.

This season the 26-year-old has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored two goals and provided as many assists.
