Inter management have decided that they will not make a decision on the issue of salary reductions until there is more certainty regarding the possible resumption of the 2019/20 season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Serie A season has been on hold for over two months now due to the global Coronavirus crisis but it could return next month depending on how things go in terms of the virus numbers and whether they continue to drop or not.

Inter club captain Samir Handanovic has already communicated to club management that he and the team are willing to discuss adjustments to their contracts and the report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to state that any negotiations over salary reductions or even deferrals will likely happen in June.

Whilst Inter are yet to reach an agreement with their players and staff, Juventus and several other Serie A clubs already have.
