A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has analysed how two of Inter’s transfer targets could be deployed.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are looking to sign a new forward in the upcoming summer transfer window, with Alexis Sanchez returning to Manchester United and Sebastiano Esposito set to be sent out on loan.

Two targets are German forward Timo Werner and PSG striker Edinson Cavani, but both fill different roles. The former Napoli and Palermo striker is more of a poacher and finisher, the report continues, who is most comfortable in the penalty area.

The RB Leipzig forward, on the other hand, is more of a second striker who works hard in the build-up play and often starts attacking moves from the left side of the pitch.

In the context of Inter, the report adds, Romelu Lukaku would find more freedom in attack playing with Werner, whilst with Cavani he would find a more explosive and dangerous partner, who is less likely to drop off in the build-up play.
