Negotiations between Inter and Paris Saint-Germain over Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi continue to move forward according to a report from French news outlet L’Equipe earlier today.

The report details how the negotiations between the two clubs regarding the 27-year-old Inter owned striker continue following on from PSG’s offer of €50 million plus €10 million in add-ons which Inter rejected.

The French club aren’t willing to pay the previously agreed upon figure of €70 million and are looking for a discount, which could see the final fee be around €55-60 million, excluding add-ons according to the report.

Inter have also prepared a three-year contract for Edinson Cavani, the report continues. The Nerazzurri are hoping to sign the Uruguayan on a free transfer in the summer after his contract expires with PSG, but so far the 33-year-old hasn’t accepted or declined the Nerazzurri’s offer.

The player wants to examine other options as well, including Newcastle, who are set to be taken over by a Saudi-backed group, according to the report.
