Georgios Vagiannidis is set to sign for Inter after reaching an agreement with the Italian club, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 18-year-old Greek defender, who has been with Panathinaikos since 2017, has reached an agreement with Inter.

The player has agreed to a five-year contract, with a salary that could grow depending on how important the player becomes for the Milanese club. It will be up to coach Antonio Conte to decide, with the Greek teenager set to be available in the summer pre-season training camp.

Barcelona and Dortmund were also interested in Vagiannidis, the report continues, but the player was immediately won over by the project presented to him by Inter CEO Beppe Marotta. He cannot leave Greece for now due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic but will undergo medical examinations as soon as it’s safe to do so.
