Talks between Inter and Barcelona regarding Lautaro Martinez are still ongoing, but so far the only player they’ve agreed to include in the deal is Junior Firpo, according to a report from Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport earlier today.

The report details how the Blaugrana are incredibly keen to sign the 22-year-old Argentine striker, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023. The Spanish club believe that he would be the perfect replacement for the aging Luis Suarez, due to his similar play style and characteristics.

Barcelona cannot afford to pay Lautaro’s €111 million release clause, however, and so have been looking for creative ways to close out the deal.

Many players have been offered to Inter, the report continues, as Barcelona look to lower the raw cost of Lautaro by including players in the deal. The Nerazzurri have declined many already, from Arthur and Ivan Rakitic to Arturo Vidal.

The only player that both clubs have agreed to include in the deal is 23-year-old Spanish left back Junior Firpo, who is contracted to the Blaugrana until 2024.
