Inter haven’t given up in the race to sign Fiorentina talisman Federico Chiesa, according to a report from Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com earlier today.

The report details how the 22-year-old Italian forward, who is contracted to the Florence based club until 2022, is a fan of Inter coach Antonio Conte and would be happy to play under the former Chelsea and Juventus coach.

The Bianconeri are also keen on Chiesa, although they have not had recent contact with the Viola. The big problem in the deal for Chiesa is his cost, the report continues, as president Rocco Commisso doesn’t want to give up on the club’s talismanic winger for any less than €60-70 million.

The Nerazzurri aren’t willing to pay that much for a single player due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and its effect on the transfer market.

Chiesa has made 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2117 minutes. In that time, he has scored seven goals and provided five assists.
