Inter will only sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani on two conditions, according to a report from Italian broadcaster SportMediaset aired earlier this afternoon.

According to the report, the Nerazzurri are hoping to sign Cavani on a free transfer after his contract expires with PSG, but will do so only if the French club decide to permanently sign Mauro Icardi and the former Napoli striker agrees to lowering his wage demands.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are expecting to sell the 22-year-old Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez in the upcoming summer transfer window, with Spanish giants Barcelona incredibly keen to sign the player.

However, the Blaugrana cannot afford to pay Lautaro’s €111 million release clause and so have been looking to offer Inter a couple of players as well as money.

Other clubs are interested in Cavani, the report continues, including teams from the MLS and Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

Cavani has made 22 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1096 minutes. In that time, he has scored seven goals and provided three assists.
