Barcelona and Manchester City are discussing a deal that would see Inter linked Nelson Semedo and Joao Cancelo swap clubs, according to a report from Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo earlier today.

The report details how the Citizens and the Blaugrana are planning an exchange deal that will see Semedo move to Manchester and Cancelo move to Barcelona. City coach Pep Guardiola was not convinced by the former Juventus and Inter man, and so would be happy to sign Semedo instead.

The 26-year-old Portuguese right back was brought up in the talks with Inter for Lautaro Martinez, the report continues, as the Catalan club looked to create a viable deal to sign the 22-year-old Argentine forward. Inter may now have to consider other options to include in the deal.

Semedo has made 29 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2103 minutes. In that time, he has provided five assists.
