Paris Saint-Germain aren’t willing to pay €70 million for Inter owned striker Mauro Icardi, instead looking for a significant discount, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Parisian club are keen to sign the 27-year-old Argentine striker, who has spent this season on loan with PSG. The French club will not pay the agreed upon price of €70 million for Icardi, due to the current financial climate which has been heavily impacted by the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

PSG have offered Inter €50 million plus €10 million in hard to achieve bonuses, the report continues, an offer too low for the Nerazzurri to consider. The two clubs must move quickly, as there is a soft deadline of May 31st.

After that date, the deal would need to be discussed again and an agreement with the player must also be reached, with both the player and Inter expected to decline the €50 million plus €10 million in bonuses offer.
