Paris Saint-Germain are keen to sign Inter striker forward Mauro Icardi but there is still some distance between the two clubs, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 27-year-old Argentine striker joined the French club on loan last summer, joining with a buy option attached worth €70 million. The player has impressed in Paris this season, but the French club aren’t willing to pay the full €70 million for his signature.

PSG would like to offer Inter €60 million for Icardi, the report continues, including add-ons. The Nerazzurri, on the other hand, would prefer to start from €60 million and add the add-ons on top, getting a little closer to the previously agreed upon figure.

Icardi has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1958 minutes. In that time, he has scored 20 goals and provided four assists.
