Sassuolo chief executive Giovanni Carnevali has admitted that he is confident that an agreement will be reached with Inter regarding midfielder Stefano Sensi.

Sensi joined Inter on a season long loan this past Summer with an option to buy but some recent reports in the media have suggested that the clubs could hold talks over a revised price given the impact that Coronavirus has had on club finances across the world.

Whilst on loan at Inter, Italian national team midfielder Sensi has made a total of 17 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and provided four assists for his teammates.

“We are talking, I think an agreement will be reached so that he will also be a Nerazzurri player next season,” Carnevali remarked in an interview with Italian TV show Domenica Sportiva, aired last night.

Carnevali then went on to share his belief that Inter will not struggle too much in the transfer market despite all that has gone on in the past few months.

He added: “I don’t think Inter are in trouble, I think they will make important moves. Knowing him, Marotta will have clear ideas.”
