RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner’s most likely next destination is currently Liverpool according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The German national team player is widely expected to leave the Red Bull energy drink backed club in the coming months and has been linked with several clubs.

For the time being, Liverpool appear to be the clubs where he will most likely end up. Inter have also shown a strong interest in signing him but appear to have cooled that interest as of late with them focusing on signing Edinson Cavani, who is set to become a free agent at the end of next month.

Werner has been in sublime form this season and netted a hat trick over the weekend which took his goals tally for the season to 30 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has also assisted 12 goals.
