All parties have something to lose in negotiations between Inter and Barcelona over Lautaro Martinez according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Negotiations between the two clubs have been ongoing for some time but have currently stalled after Inter knocked back Barcelona’s offer which consisted of €50 million plus two players.

If Barcelona fail to get a deal done they will lose out on their reported number one transfer target, Inter could lose out in the sense that Lautaro, if a move does not take place, may not be able to perform to the same levels as he could be mentally affected by the move collapsing.

Inter manager Antonio Conte will have to therefore be prepared to ensure Lautaro’s mental state is not affected too much if a move does not happen.

This season Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and tallied four assists.
