There is a chance that Alexis Sanchez could remain with Inter past the end of this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
The Chilean national team player joined Inter on a season long dry loan this past Summer from Premier League outfit Manchester United and his loan could well be extended for another season.
His loan could be extended in the event that Lautaro Martinez departs Inter for Barcelona as it would mean Inter could save a considerable amount on buying a replacement by just extending the former Barcelona player’s loan deal.
The player himself is keen to stay too and will try and convince club management with his performances in the remainder of the season, the report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to explain.
This season the 31-year-old has made 15 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and tallied three assists.
