Inter owned striker Mauro Icardi is on the verge of becoming a Paris Saint-Germain player on a permanent basis according to a report from Argentine news outlet Olé.

Icardi joined the French capital city club on a season long loan this past Summer and as part of the deal Paris Saint-Germain obtained an option to sign the 27-year-old striker outright for a sum of €70 million.

The report goes on to explain that Paris Saint-Germain, who were recently crowned as champions of Ligue 1, will however sign him for €10 million less than that following negotiations with Inter, who deemed Icardi to be out of the club’s project prior to loaning him to them.

Whilst playing for the Parc des Princes club, Icardi has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the field, he has scored a total of 20 goals and has also provided a handful of assists for his teammates.
