Paris Saint-Germain are close to finalising a deal with Inter to sign on loan striker Mauro Icardi on a permanent basis according to a report from the online edition of French daily newspaper Le Parisien.

Icardi has spent the past season on loan at the Parc des Princes club and the two clubs are close to coming to an agreement over him.

Although Paris Saint-Germain obtained an option to buy him outright for €70 million as part of the loan deal, it looks like a deal will be done for less than that, as per various reports in the media, especially the Italian media.

Some reports have suggested that Paris Saint-Germain have offered €55 million plus €5 million in add-ons but Inter are holding out for Paris Saint-Germain to offer them €60 million up front.

This season the 27-year-old Argentine has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park he has scored 20 goals and provided five assists for his teammates.
