Inter and Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement in principle over Mauro Icardi according to a report from French television channel L’Equipe TV.

The two clubs have agreed upon a deal worth in the region of €60 million for the 27-year-old Argentine, who is currently out on loan at the recently crowned Ligue 1 champions.

The report goes on to explain that the ball is now in the court of the player himself and states that he would ultimately prefer a move to Inter’s arch rivals Juventus, who are prepared to offer him a salary of no less than €12 million a year, opposed to a permanent switch to Paris Saint-Germain.

Whilst at the French capital city club, the former Barcelona academy player has performed well and has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the pitch, he has scored 20 goals and has also provided a total of five assists for his teammates.
