Inter and Paris Saint-Germain will try to finalise a deal for Mauro Icardi in the coming days according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short time ago.

Icardi is currently out on loan at the recently crowned French champions and negotiations are ongoing between the clubs over a permanent transfer.

Negotiations are ongoing despite the fact that Paris Saint-Germain sporting director and former Inter manager Leonardo is currently back home in his native Brazil to be with his mother, who is suffering from health issues.

Inter are not worried by Leonardo’s absence and the report goes on to add that Icardi wishes to remain in the French capital city, which is bound to help negotiations along.

Whilst out on loan at the Parc des Princes club, 27-year-old former Barcelona academy player Icardi has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park he has scored 20 goals and has also provided five assists for his teammates.
