Negotiations between Inter and Barcelona have stalled over Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short time ago.

The two clubs have been negotiating the potential transfer of the 22-year-old Argentine national team player for some time now but talks are at a stalemate at the moment due to the two clubs being unable to agree upon a suitable counterpart to include in the deal.

Inter manager Antonio Conte would like midfielder Arthur Melo, who is at the centre of swap talks between Barcelona and Juventus.

Nelson Semedo, another player Inter have shown a liking for, appears to want a move to somewhere other than Inter whilst Inter are not overly keen on either Samuel Umtiti or Junior Firpo.

The report goes on to add that despite talks stalling with Barcelona, Inter are continuing to think about potential life after Lautaro and have set their sights on bringing in RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner in the event that he does leave the club.
