Inter are set to extend the contract of Ashley Young by a further season according to a report from the online edition of British daily newspaper The Telegraph.

The former England national team full back joined the Nerazzurri for a nominal fee from Premier League outfit Manchester United in the most recent January transfer window on a six month deal and has impressed so much that Inter wish to prolong his stay with the club.

As part of his initial six month deal Inter obtained an option to extend it by a further season and the report goes on to explain that they intend to do just that.

The 34-year-old has been virtually ever present since his arrival at San Siro with him having appeared in all barring two of the games Inter played up until the season was brought to a halt. During his time on the field, Young has contributed a single goal and a single assist.
