Eduardo Quaresma is set to sign a long term contract extension with Sporting CP according to a report in today’s print edition of Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola.

The highly rated 18-year-old central defender has had interest shown in his services by a host of clubs as of late but appears set to commit himself to the Liga NOS side for the foreseeable future.

Inter, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig have all targeted him but the report goes on to explain that he will sign a contract extension until the end of the 2024/25 season. As part of the new contract, he will have a €45 million release clause.

All that remains before an agreement is signed is for Sporting CP to come to an agreement with his representatives regarding commission.

The Portuguese under 19 national team player has made 23 appearances across all competitions to date this term for Sporting CP’s under 23 side but has made no goal contributions during his time on the park.
