Matias Vecino missed training yesterday as a result of picking up a knee problem according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Uruguayan national team midfielder sustained the injury in the past few days and it has severely limited the movements that he can make.

Inter’s medical staff are to keep a close eye on the player’s condition and the club are hopeful that it is nothing too serious that could keep him out long term.

Recent reports in the media have suggested that the former Fiorentina midfielder’s time with the club could come to an end this coming Summer as Inter look to make way for reinforcements.

One report has suggested that Inter would allow him to depart the club if they were to receive an offer in the region of €22-25 million.

This season Vecino has made 23 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and provided one assist.
