Inter striker Lautaro Martinez wants to move to Barcelona and both clubs are well aware of this according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

Barcelona have been courting the 22-year-old Argentine striker for some time and have been in negotiations with Inter over him for a few months now.

Inter vice president Javier Zanetti has tried everything to convince Lautaro to stay in Milan and has even proposed a new €4 million a year deal but that offer falls some way short of what Barcelona are willing to offer him.

Moreover, the chance to play with compatriot Lionel Messi at club level is a huge factor in Lautaro’s desire to play for the Blaugrana club and the report goes on to claim that it is only a matter of time before Barcelona persuade Inter to deal him to them.

This season Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the field he has scored 16 goals and has provided four assists for his teammates.
