Former Bayern Munich and Croatian national team striker Ivica Olic has shared his belief that the Bavarian club are happy with on loan Ivan Perisic and should reach an agreement with Inter over his transfer just shortly.

He started an interview with Croatian news outlet TPortal by speaking on the former Borussia Dortmund player’s condition.

“Perisic had a very serious injury, just when he was in excellent shape. He was sidelined for three months, but now he’s back to training regularly.

“It is clear that he will need a little more time to return to the level he had reached in the previous months but the most important thing is that he is no longer in pain and has returned to training.”

Perisic joined the German Bundesliga club on a season long loan this past Summer from Inter with a €20 million option to buy attached and Olic then went on state that he thinks Bayern Munich will seek a discount on Perisic and the two clubs could possibly come to an agreement over him in the coming weeks.

“The club is very happy with him. Now Bayern will try to lower the price as because of this pandemic the purchasing power of the clubs is even weaker and I believe that in the next two or three weeks the clubs will sit down at the table and try to find an agreement.”

Whilst on loan at the Allianz Arena club, 31-year-old Perisic has made 25 appearances across all competitions to date. In just shy of 1300 minutes on the field, Perisic has scored five goals and has also provided a total of eight assists for his teammates.
