Marseille deem Inter’s demands for midfielder Joao Mario to be too expensive according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Portuguese national team midfielder is currently out on loan at Russian Premier League club Lokomotiv Moscow and although they have an option to sign him outright, it is widely understood that they have no intention of doing so meaning Joao Mario will soon return to inter.
Joao Mario has a value against Inter’s books of €15 million and Inter want to get at least that for him but Andre Villas Boas’ Marseille do not want to pay that much for the 27-year-old.
Things could change if Marseille are taken over and more funds are available but the report also warns that the appointment of a new sporting director could lead to Marseille shifting their attention elsewhere.
Whilst on loan at Lokomotiv Moscow, Joao Mario has made 15 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and has provided four assists.
