Negotiations between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter over the permanent transfer of Mauro Icardi are down to the final details according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The 27-year-old striker has spent the past season out on loan at the newly crowned French champions and there appear to be no more doubts when it comes to Paris Saint-Germain signing him outright from the Nerazzurri.

Paris Saint-Germain have an option to buy him for €70 million but Inter have granted a slight discount in order to get a deal over the line and the report claims that a deal will be done for a fee in the region of €60-65 million including add-ons.

The deal should in fact be completed between the two clubs by the weekend and once the deal is finalised Inter will have a new club record transfer sale.

During his time in the French capital, Icardi has made 31 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored 20 goals and tallied a handful of assists.
