Inter, Juventus and AC Milan have been infuriated by the fact that the remainder of the Coppa Italia will be played before the 2019/20 Serie A season resumes according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Yesterday the green light was given for the 2019/20 Serie A season to resume from June 20 and it has been suggested that the Coppa Italia semi finals will take place between June 13 and June 14 and the final will then take place on June 17.

Inter are perhaps the most infuriated of the three clubs and the report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to explain that Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has threatened to field Inter’s Primavera side in the second leg against Napoli if the above dates are confirmed by the relevant bodies.

Inter are trailing 1-0 in the tie with the Partenopei, the first leg of which took place back in the middle of Februrary.
