Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan’s immediate future could be decided by the Italian football federation according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Nainggolan is on loan at Cagliari and is one of many players in Italy who is currently out on loan at another club which is set to expire at the end of June.

With the 2019/20 season set to resume on June 20 and finish at the end of August, it remains unclear as to whether loans, as well as expiring contracts, will be extended until the end of the season.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that the Italian football federation would like clubs to come to an agreement for loans and contracts to be extended until the end of the campaign.

The Italian player’s association would also like to see loans and contracts extended too.

Whilst on loan at Cagliari, Nainggolan has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and tallied six assists.
