Banfield have rejected an offer from Roma for highly rated youngster Agustin Urzi according to a report in yetserday’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Giallorossi club have seen a loan with option to buy offer knocked back by the Superliga Argentina side who have told them that they want a sum of €8 million for him.

Urzi has been linked with a whole array of others clubs as of late with Inter, Torino, Roma, Sampdoria and Sassuolo all having been linked with him.

The 20-year-old winger, who is an Argentine under 23 national team, holds an Italian passport and could therefore be registered as a European player by Italian clubs.

This season Urzi, who has a contract with Banfield through to the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date. In just shy of 1500 minutes on the field, he has provided a single assist.
