Inter are one of three Italian clubs interested in signing Atletico Madrid right back Santiago Arias, according to a report from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The report details how the Nerazzurri, Roma and Napoli are all interested in the 28-year-old Colombian, who is contracted to Atletico until 2023. The player is no longer considered important in Diego Simeone’s plans for the future of the club and so a new home is needed.

Arias has only made 11 appearances across all competitions so far this season, playing a total of 869 minutes. In that time, he has provided one assist, losing his spot to English full back Kieran Trippier.

Roma are the keenest of the Italian clubs, the report highlights, as the Giallorossi are looking to strengthen their squad in order to return to Champions League football, as the club currently look set to finish outside of the top 4. The Nerazzurri need a new full back to strengthen the wing back department.
