Inter are planning to ask Manchester United to extend Alexis Sanchez’ stay in Milan until the end of the season, according to a report from British media outlet Sky Sports.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are interested in keeping the 31-year-old Chilean forward until the end of the season and think that he could prove decisive in the final games of the season. The player’s loan deal currently expires at the end of June and so a new agreement is needed if Sanchez is to finish the season with the Nerazzurri.

Inter are still unsure whether they want to sign the 31-year-old Chilean for next season as well, the report continues, as he hasn’t fully impressed coach Antonio Conte this season.

Sanchez has made 15 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 596 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided three assists, missing the majority of this season due to a peroneus tendon injury.
