Italian Media Reports Inter & Lokomotiv Moscow In Talks To Extend Joao Mario’s Loan Until End Of Season

Inter are negotiating with Lokomotiv Moscow to find a way for Joao Mario to finish the season with the Russian club, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset earlier today.

The report details how the Russian club aren’t particularly keen to sign the 27-year-old Portuguese midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2022.

Inter have no intention of keeping the player and if Lokomotiv Moscow decide not to sign him, then the Milanese club will look for a new home for the player.

For the time being, Inter are in talks with Moscow to extend Joao Mario’s loan deal until the end of the season, the report continues, which will go beyond the 30^th June due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. The Russian league will restart on the 21^st June and so there are only a few weeks to reach an agreement.

Mario has scored one goal and provided four assists in 15 appearances this season.
