Inter are optimistic that Bayern Munich will permanently sign Croatian winger Ivan Perisic soon, according to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com earlier today.

The report details how the two clubs have an excellent relationship and are prepared to discuss the figures for a definitive sale to the Bavarian club. The 31-year-old Perisic joined the Bundesliga side on loan last summer, but the deal to purchase the 2018 World Cup finalist expired in mid-May, meaning a new agreement must be reached.

Inter may be willing to discuss a possible exchange, the report continues, which the club possibly considering taking Lucas Hernandez on loan in exchange for Perisic.

The 31-year-old Croatian has impressed coach Hans-Dieter Flick this season and has been able to play in a variety of options, being incredibly flexible. Perisic has made 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring five goals and providing eight assists in that time.
