Inter are interested in signing Atletico Madrid full back Santiago Arias, but they will face competition from both Roma and Napoli for the player, according to a report from Spanish media outlet AS.

The report details how the 28-year-old Colombian right back, who is contracted to the club until 2023, has struggled to settle in Spain since his arrival from PSV in the summer of 2018. The player has struggled to earn consistent playing time due to the other strong players in the department for coach Diego Simeone, and so could be sold in order to give Atletico much needed capital.

Inter, Roma and Napoli are all interested in signing Arias, the report continues, as well as his former side PSV. He cost Atletico €11 million and the side are aiming to at least recoup that cost, but the player’s low wages and the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic could see many clubs approach Atletico to discuss a possible deal.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is watching the situation closely the report concludes.
