Barcelona could still insert Junior Firpo in the deal for Inter striker Lautaro Martinez as the Nerazzurri are fans of the player, according to a report from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo earlier today.

The report details how the Blaugrana are incredibly keen to sign the 22-year-old Argentine striker, despite the fact that the Nerazzurri have claimed that they’ll only let the player leave for €111 million in cash, his release clause. Barcelona cannot afford to pay that figure and instead are hoping to include a player or two in the deal.

Both clubs would be happy to have Junior Firpo included in the deal, the report continues, but no other players fit the requirements just yet. Inter aren’t interested in including Arturo Vidal but are keen on Clement Lenglet. The 24-year-old Frenchman doesn’t want to leave Barcelona, however, and so there is still distance to cover. Lautaro has scored 16 goals and provided four assists in 31 appearances this season.
