Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has not changed his mind about wanting a move to La Liga powerhouses Barcelona in the coming months according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 22-year-old Argentine remains the Blaugrana club’s number one transfer target and the seemingly soon to be completed €40 million sale of Nelson Semedo to Manchester City will help Barcelona fund a move for him.

Currently Barcelona are offering €50 million plus two players whilst Inter would like between €80-90 million plus a player.

An agreement is unlikely to be reached in the short term as Inter have still not lined up a replacement and are still waiting for Lautaro to come out and tell them he wants to move to Barcelona, who he has already told that he wants to join.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that there are two deadlines to take into account. The first deadline is June 30, the date which clubs must have their books in order by and the second date is Lautaro’s €111 million release clause expiry date, which Gazzetta claim is July 7.
